I was so exciting to start my adventure trip. I met the group for the first time tonight and we got lots of thing to talk because our trip was 'Colors of Asia' and we had absolutely many kind of sensational things are wait for our group to discover it. Wow! All of them came from different countries around the world. They came from USA, Argentina, Australia and England and seem like really fun people who are up for a big adventure. We headed out for a great Indian dinner where had banana leaf as our starters and it is the first time for some of them to eat by hand. This interesting and delicious restaurant is located in the Little India area of Singapore where there is a thousand Indian people walking around do their shopping after them working. After our full Indian food most of us went back to hotel as we needed great sleeping for the next early day.
Up early! We had to get a bus to Malaysia to go to the town of Melaka . We walked around the old streets and looked at beautiful temples, churches, mosques and history museums. In the afternoon we jumped on local boat and cruise to see Malaysia fisherman village. My group loved the colorful trishaw ride around the streets of old Melaka and we stoped at the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia which is located opposite the side of old Thomas Stampfory Raffle house.
There are special local people who we call Pheranagun or Baba Nonya and for them the house designed into the cultural differences between Chinese and Malaysia which are unbelievable! The present generation still takes care and repairs the building in such a beautiful way. Melaka river looks so romantic in the evening amd there are local singers with wonderful bands playing music in the old style. At the same time Islams started to pray with polite voice. Dutch square is the beautiful place to take a picture as it like meeting point for colorful trishaws of town and old fountain in the middle of Dutch square makes the atmosphere so relaxing. My group liked to feel the difference between modern Singapore and historical Melaka in only 2 days and 1 night.A Famosa Gate.
