Day5/6 - Experiencing Malaysian real life in Bukit Kantang Homestay

Day 5:

We take public bus to Taiping but we get off at Bukit kangtang. Nice to see my group sit with locals and get to have small chat to learn some real culture. It took 4 hours to get there. We had a small meeting with our family and we can't wait for our Malaysian dinner. So onto our 1st dinner Malaysian style AND they surprise us with that Malaysians eat with right hand. No spoon! and the meal is  'super Sedap Sedap!' which means delicious in Bahasa Malay. After dinner my group gets to swim in Hot springs where you can't wear swimming suite but have to wear long pants and cover shoulder because this is an islamic village. The hot springs refreshed my group.

Day 6:

Today we went to the Ibrahim museum and learnt how to make charcoal in the traditional way and see the biggest mangrove forest in Malaysia. In the evening we checked tasting of Malaysia fruits. The King of the fruits is durian which is so smelly but so tasty!

After tasting fruits we go to local market that is open only on the weekend and its where local food, local drink and all local people all things are here. My group feel like doing an eating tour today. We Eat Eat and Eat! Sedap!

After dinner we chosed one guy and one girl to make mock wedding. All of us dress in Malaysian costume and start celemony together. It was not only us excitting but all of villagers came and join us. They started with Malay drums and sing a song. Then Leader of village inform Malay wedding to us. It's so wonderful.
